Pray for Progress
POSTED: July 5th, 2008
Yesterday the doctor ordered a CT scan and determined there was no significant change since the previous one. Andrew began having seizures yesterday and was given medicine to stop that as well as blood pressure medicine. Doctors determined he had developed diabetes so they began treatment for that as well. Andrew was heavily sedated and had a fever throughout the night. All night he was breathing over the ventilator which is very encouraging. We thank you for your continuous prayer.

I would like to thank all of those who have lifted Andrew up in prayer. many of you have asked if there is anything that you could do to help Andrew in this time of crisis. We all feel very helpless, but if you would like to give blood in Andrew Oelschlegal’s name that would be greatly appreciated. Today (Sat. July 5) there is a blood mobile at the Albertson’s parking lot. At the present time Andrew does not need a lot of blood, however he may be in need if the doctors believe surgery is needed. Thanks for all you support.

Andrew got rid of a lot of fluid yesterday. The nurses were constantly dumping his cath bag. I am amazed at how much the swelling has gone down today. Andrew’s ankles, hands and face are much more of a normal plumpness. You can see an indentation now were the scull flap was removed and his brain is no longer swollen and filling that space. He has not had a seizure since 6:30am and his sodium is a liittle more stable. His reflexes on pain have decreased since the seizures started, but I have been told that people who have seizures are lethargic afterward. I won’t give up hope! It is just a rollercoaster ride as his brain tries to start working again. I told Andrew that people in every state and Europe were praying for him, but he had to want to get better. I told him to ask Jesus to heal his brain. Thank you for your continued prayers. I pray that our will is a reflection of Gods will. If you are outside of California, please let us know in your posts where you are located. It is a blessing to picture that the prayers for Drew are scattered across the globe. Amazing!

You are a fighter, and you have so many people praying for you. Tom and I were so impressed by the support we saw at the hospital today with your family and friends. I’m in Texas and I’ve shared Drew’s situation with friends and family here in this state as well as Minnesota, Arizona, and Oregon.
You are all in my continued thoughts and prayers–Drew, especially but for his medical team as well as his family. I can’t even begin to imagine how stressful this is on all of you.

Leslie you asked for locations where prayers are coming from. I wanted you know I have shared the website with my friends who are praying in the following states, Washington, Colorado, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabams, Flordia , Tennessee, Kentucky and all over CA. It is so good to know in times of need there are many Prayer Partners out there.

My name is Tamara, I received news of Andrew through our prayer chain at Mountain View Community Church. I am just in tears to read what everyone has to say. I am a mother of 3 boys and this just touches my heart. Praise God for Andrew’s baby steps, God does have further plans for you Andrew! I am from Mountain View Community Church here in Ramona, CA. I heard of this recent tragedy the day after the accident from George Z. at church. I know the Scherer family and a few of the children by face only. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and especially to Andrew.

Lord, I ask that you heal Andrew from all his pain. Lord heal his entire body so he can be restored as new. Let him know that he is loved and that you do have a plan for him. На днях сходили с коллегами на киносеанс фильма Наша Russia, хочется поделиться впечатлениями, пока свежи воспоминания и горячи эмоции. Сразу хочу оговориться - посмотреть фильм стоит. Новая лента Comedy Club Production выигрывает у своих предшественников – “самых лучших фильмов» сразу по нескольким показателям. Во-первых, это актёрский состав. Совсем не трудно догадаться, что больше половины ролей в фильме исполняют Галустян и Светлаков. Конечно, не хочется говорить, что фильм выехал только на них, но если бы не эти ребята, фильм смотрелся бы достаточно убого. Не спорю, может быть мы все уже привыкли и полюбили персонажей из сериала Наша Russia, и именно поэтому в кино мы шли без большой доли скептицизма. И это уже показатель 2: бренд нашей Раши. Ну и в третьих, это какой-никакой, но сюжет - последовательность действий, которые мало-помалу развиваются от начала, и имеют логическую (или не совсем) концовку. Чего фактически не было в самых лучших фильмах - где грубо говоря была последовательность миниатюр, кое как скреплённых общей ниточкой меж собой.
Конечно, фильм Наша Раша Яйца Судьбы не без минусов - это порой уже потёртые шутки, а некоторые моменты можно было обыграть и развить получше. Слишком мало в действии мы увидели Ивана Дулина, Анастасию Кузнецову, Снежану Денисовну, Славика с Димоном. Ну и, если честно, не очень порадовала концовка, которая оказалась как то очень смятой, скоротечной, и при этом предсказуемой. Но, несмотря на это, фильм всё же понравился. Конечно создатели постарались, чтобы зрители выходили из зала с улыбкой на лице, и в финальные титры “посадили” Сергея Юрьевича Белякова, который в пух и прах разложил всех создателей и участников фильма, кроме себя любимого. Ход сыграл на все 100%!!!
